Dealing with Disruptive Students
Thomas appears to have a bad attitude, disturbs others and you have just realised you have no work samples off him, something needs to be done!

- Address the behaviour/incident immediately, eg. tell them to stop and inform them of your rules and expectations, remind them of the consequences if their misbehaviour continues.
- Talk to student separately after class, see if you can determine the cause of misbehaviour and address the issue if possible.
- Build a relationship with the student, try to gain students respect and offer assistance when necessary
- Talk to previous teachers, peers or even the school counselor to establish if there is an outside problem causing the misbehaviour in class.
- Meet with the parents if misbehaviour continues
- Establish an 'Individual Behaviour Plan' or contract with the student
- Always stay calm
