Incorporating Aboriginal Perspectives into the Curriculum
'The term Aboriginal perspectives refers to Aboriginal points of view on particular issues and events. Where possible Aboriginal subject matter and perspectives should be explored in consultation with Aboriginal people in the local school community' (NSW DEC 2011). Aboriginal viewpoints and perceptions need to be included into the curriculum to ensure that schools acknowledge and educate students about Australia's Aboriginal history.
