Learning Difficulties
Amy, you have a very diverse range of students in your class and we need to cater for all of them without going crazy! I hope the pages addressing specific learning needs have been of assistance but I know that there are general learning difficulties and sometimes these children can fall between the cracks if we aren't diligent with our assessment and planning. Partnered with this page is the CROSS STAGE CLASS page where we have discussed multi stage units of work, relevant resources and differentiation.
When planning a lesson or series of lessons we think a fantastic starting point is to FOCUS ON THE CHILDS STRENGTHS. Students respond well to praise and will feel more confident to take risks and try new things in turn improving their abilities and attitude to learning.
